    Very poor customer service. Got upsold on a bunch of lies when we went in. We emailed the manager Nadia to let her know and she didn't seem to care. The camper had mould on the ceiling and was not topped up with water even though the salesman said he just topped it up. Took us a couple of days to figure out you had to have the water pump on while filling the water tank. We just thought it was broken. Would hire from a different company in future.

    Something with our booking went wrong and they couldn't help us at all. We missed a flight from Darwin! They just blamed the 3rd internet platform. Also provided a car without full petrol.

    After this everything went well. The staff on the return station (Alice Springs) was nice and gave us a small compensation (10% of rental cost).

    I decided to book a Relocation Car from Melbourne to Adelaide for around 65 $ (incl. insurance, fee, GPS and fuel up to 250 $) for 2 days.

    I just slept in the van and didn't use anything - no water, no toilette, no plates, no cutlery. Nothing.

    2. There was a new damage on the car that wasn't my fault and I even did not recognize it. For this I needed to pay 250 $ + 75 $ fee (for what ever the fee is) + 150 $ fuel (I did not get any costs for the fuel back, actually the fuel will be paid up to 250 $).

    I explained that I haven't used the toilette but it didn't bother him. He said "It doesn't matter if you used the toilette or not. The cartouche is full and you need to pay for cleaning." 150 $.

    After getting the instructions on another van I got my van in Melbourne - quick damage check but no checking the cartouche of the toilette. They recommend me not to use the toilette of the van because the cleaning of the cartouche is very difficult for me or otherwise expensive if Apollo do it (150 $). For 2 days it is not worth it. They said the cartouche is empty but didn't show me.

    We had to ask questions about everything and to “force” him to show us how things work. This is also how we found out that there was no key for the gas compartment (he didn’t tell us). On our first use of the gas-stove we had flames from under the stove to the ground (approx. 1 meter). We were very shocked and called Apollo Assist. Robert was very helpful and sent us to a local dealer (who couldn’t fix the problem since the stove was broken – I assume, that the guy in Adelaide knew this already).

    Be careful of terms in Aus , base liability is actually no insurance. Excess only covers parts not other associated costs. Relocation is ok but there are a lot of extra costs making it not much cheaper than getting a car and staying somewhere. Otherwise vehicle was fine.

    We rented a 4WD Camper in Adelaide. The introduction to the car was a real rush – even after we told the guy from Apollo that it was our first time with a camper. The only goal seemed to be doing some “upselling” (although we booked the premium package already).

    So I tend to recommend Apollo (although there were other minor issues, such as dirty linen) but I definitely to not recommend the Adelaide Branch…

    Instead of 65 $ I needed to pay almost 700 $ for 2 days. I was crying in front of him and explained 1000 times that all wasn't my fault and offerd to clean the cartouche right now. He wasn't sympathetic at all.
